Hyperdimension Neptunia: Touhou Galaxy Project (超次元ゲイム ネプテューヌ:東方銀河プロジェクト, 'Chōjigen Geimu Neputūnu: Tōhō ginga purojekuto' "Super Dimensional Game Neptune: Touhou Galaxy Project"), also known as Supergalactica Neptunia: Galaxy of Peace and Chaos (銀河ネプチューヌ:平和と混沌の銀河, 'Gingakei Neputūnu: Heiwa to Konton no Ginga' "Galactic Neptune: The Galaxy of Peace and Chaos.") in since 2019. Commonly known as Touhou Galaxy Project (TGP) was a Japanese post-apocalyptic psychological horror science fantasy novel series created by Rinne Yoshimizu and published by Yoshimizu Castle from 2015 until 2023. Touhou Galaxy Project is a psychological horror science fantasy story based on TGP Author's experience back in 2017 and early day at school that she have been bullied in the past. Touhou Galaxy Project is a successor of short story "Memory of Kagami".

Set in the limbo world known as Gamalaticania Universe, a world created after Rinne have died from the mortal world were good people who died from previous world have a opportunity to reborn to this world as a tiny fairy known as Guardian Characters in the realm of Nirvana (Heaven) while bad people always turn into Abomon and send to the relam of Naraka (Hell). The primary story are involved around a relationship, cyberbullying and suicide. As well as Good and Evil that affect the main character and the antagonist.

After conclusion of Touhou Galaxy Project after Death of Lady Rema Yoshimizu. TGP Author release a newest series, "Afterlife Expanding" that serve as direct spiritual successor to Touhou Galaxy Project series. Despite this, the story of Touhou Galaxy Project still continue.

The story contain self-harm, suicide, and mental illness. All characters are above 18 year olds. Set in the life after death world.

Overview
"Touhou Galaxy Project have been starting since 2015, the main goal of the story is about war between a fairies who must defend their home from the bullies who threat with flame of war to destroy the life of this peaceful galaxy. And of course, this is a psychological horror science fiction, not a military science fiction were horror of cyberbullying and Rinne's psycho mental is equal as a space battle is taking place show off a wonderful military ship attacking each other."

Former Touhou Galaxy Project Logo (2015 - November 2022)

The Project "Touhou Galaxy" was start as early concept wayback in 2009, it's use by several element from previous work that TGP Author once made Star Democratic series. One of them was 2014 short novel called Memory of Kagami with main goal meant to be a charming funny tragic sci-fi novel which inspired by child death scene in "Clanned After Story" that later became the codename of "Touhou Galaxy". The first story of Touhou Galaxy Project "Blanec's Lowee Empire" was release on May 29, 2015 which mark the begining of the series and original Star Democratic series was end.

Like the official title, Touhou Galaxy Project set in the same universe as Hyperdimension Neptunia which has most of JRPG-type game element in the story despite being an afterlife world which has no connection to the digital world.

Since December 10, 2019, the current form of the TGP is a psychological horror science fiction novel with post-apocalyptic element. Unlike most of science fiction, TGP is a story about family fiction in the futuristic world fill with high-technologies, supernatural and retro-futuristic world were being threaten by cyberbullying online group that attempt to ruin their life.

Named
The nameTouhou Galaxy Project was come from the galaxy name Gamalatica galaxy or older continuity name Touhou galaxy which most of the story is take place there. The name Touhou is refer as Chaos which originated from Touhou Project, a shoot 'em up game which have a lot of bullet hell on the screen and it’s difficult to dodge. TGP Author have inspired the name Touhou Project for the name Touhou Galaxy because the story is very chaotic with conflict and war from other people who want to destroy this galaxy. While the name Touhou Galaxy is name after Touhou Project, the name "Project" itself came from a light novel called A Certain Magical Index rather than Touhou Project which is the reason why it’s called Touhou Galaxy Project is because it’s Novel Project of Rinne Yoshimizu set in Touhou Galaxy.

The full name of this series was officially called Hyperdimension Neptunia: Touhou Galaxy Project and known in most canon episode title as "Supergalactica Neptunia Galaxy of Peace and Chaos" which may not the official title of the series as whole. Still, it's very popular name used for the series despite it's not the actual name of the series.

The reason that TGP Author still kept the "Hyperdimension Neptunia" title despite the 2019 reboot, Project Isla and Lack of Neptunia element is because early story of Touhou Galaxy Project has majority of Neptunia element within, and because Touhou Galaxy Project world was set inside this video game.

 Setting
Overall
The world of Hyperdimension Neptunia: Touhou Galaxy Project is design to be a science fantasy world with magic and high-technology element while people in this world have average modern time Earth lifestyle and overall structure and civilization, it’s likely there is Japanese castle in the middle of urban-span world like Imperial Palace of Hana at planet Goldia. The concept of this universe is similarly to an otome dating sim where female protagonist is leading the story and have several decision that led to multiple ending. Although the world have wonderful artstyle and relax element much like a dating sim, this universe however, full of violence content such as blood and gore.

The story in this novel is all about the cyberbullying, harassment, PTSD and suiciding that all Gamalatican protagonist and main character was subject to matters by the antagonist who using such these tactic in order to grant their reputation from doing such a horrible thing. Despite this, most of Touhou Galaxy Project characters have some sort of psychopathy that are either affected by ABM harassment or being succumb to the ABM’s fantasies.

Every episode of the story is always set with a different protagonist and antagonist to each story, unlike many story that feature one protagonist to every story, for example: Tomoya is the main protagonist in first episode while Rinne is the main protagonist in second episode. Other character whose previously as protagonist may become a supporting character in next episode and vise versa.

Style
Touhou Galaxy Project is mixed between western science fiction and Japanese science fiction with accurate logical. This means there is likely that no overpowered stuff or mind-blowing technology that launch a countless of missile like mecha anime in Touhou Galaxy Project unless good explanation. Despite this, the antagonist may have powerful firepower stuff like Great Mind Trick’s laser that capable to demolish billion of ship in a second.

The story is setting in the fictional universe of Gamalaticania, a world located in same universe as Hyperdimension Neptunia which built over the Previous World. Most of protagonist side are humanoid fairy race known as "Guardian Characters" who born from heart of the people from previous world while malicious reptile race known as "Abomon" were born from people who corrupted by impossible desires of desperate and harmful motive.

While the recent story element are psychological horror, Touhou Galaxy Project still keep the element of parody and in-joke much like Hyperdimension Neptunia series despite not frequently appear.

Environment
The afterlife world of Gamalaticania Universe were largely dominated by highly advanced technology, but also dominate with magic, fantasy and medieval theme in some place and planet that feel like in a utopia. The technological advanced planet like Goldia is full of several high-tech building and white-color metal structure that appear in most of other science fiction similarly to real life Tokyo. Other planet with least technology application were much more modern time, even some of planet were nearly resemble to Central Europe-style medieval era structure and town with people wore a farmer, a noble, and a witch costume. The Koscon is the chaotic place that fill with many people who punished by their sins after involve with the Nill William's cyberbullying online group.

Although the Gamalatica were the most advanced nation, but they were can't make any technology related to Biochip, Advanced AI or automatic system due to fear of ABM who are expert at hacking.

Theme
Overview

Touhou Galaxy Project have five main theme in the story are "Science Fantasy", "Psychological Horror", "Psychological Thriller", "Post-Apocalyptic", and "Family Fiction" which TGP Author has dubed as "Anti-bullying post-apocalyptic psychological horror science fantasy" or "Psychological Horror Science Fantasy" for short. Most common theme of Touhou Galaxy Project was Science Fantasy which have been introduction since the early day of Touhou Galaxy Project was a small project. The rest of four theme were introduction in Birth of Lady Tomoya Dinogi and they were commonly since Rinne Somnium.

Since then, Touhou Galaxy Project have been focusing on horror rather a fantasy setting while keep the element of science fantasy intact. TGP Author have explain the reason of Touhou Galaxy Project shift on Psychological Horror more than Science Fantasy is because of Author want people to not forget about the ABM’s action back in 2019 and to prevent someone mistaken of Touhou Galaxy Project being "Isekai", as well as "Military science fiction" despite there is several space empire have shown their military ship and advanced foot soldier fight each other in a galactic-scale conflict. Touhou Galaxy Project was not considered to be a military sci-fi because these element are not main feature of the story. And it's not considered to be Isekai as well, in order to confirm of it’s exist, it must have people transported from "Japan". However, Japan doesn’t exist in Touhou Galaxy Project, this can’t be count with "Neppon", a fictional countries that exist before the Gamalatica world as well.

(Science Fantasy)
The main theme that appear in every episode of Touhou Galaxy Project is science fantasy. Unlike the science fiction, they were appear to be impossible to recreated in real life such as magic, supernatural and fairies. Many character has fancy uniform that resemble to most of Japanese Isekai anime. Touhou Galaxy Project is also a dark fantasy due to several element is appear to be very fatal to the characters.

Despite this, Touhou Galaxy Project have some element of science fiction within the fantasy world despite it's unlikely to function in real life such as Firaxus weapon are recreation of real world's firearm using projectile resemble to one that using in firework.

Because of Touhou Galaxy Project is set in purely in the afterlife world, there is endless creation of story in the series.
(Psychological Horror)
The second main theme that appear in Birth of Lady Tomoya Dinogi and most episode of Touhou Galaxy Project since Rinne Somnium is psychological horror and psychological thriller. The main plot of the Touhou Galaxy Project is all about bullying and harassment which most of protagonist are subject to these harassment and bullying, especially from those Against the Blanec Movement. It's always appear together with thriller since it's unpredictable and it's shock in most part of the story, such as people who watching God of The Gamalatica were purely fantasy without any bloods and gore when see several Harusu clone being die in gruesome way can't be describe if this is still a Touhou Galaxy Project.

Because of some viewer still mistaken of Touhou Galaxy Project being a military science fiction. TGP Author have made use of military science fiction element such as spaceship and foot soldier as horror element and anti-war message since many guardian characters have been traumatized by the war and conflict cause by Abomon, rather than glorify the military and war in their guns and tanks. The cancel culture, online shaming, internet clout and cringe cuture are also part of psychological horror genre.

The Psychological horror plot was also use as a anti-war and antiauthoritarian message.
(Post-Apocalyptic)
Since Touhou Galaxy Project has element similarly to post-apocalyptic as Earth was destroyed and cleanse to become a new world that the protagonist was reborn that place. This is still a controversial debate which should Touhou Galaxy Project be post-apocalyptic or Isekai since both theme can't exist each other and the series has similarly theme to it. It was dub as TGP-style Isekai or Post-Apocalytic Isekai.

In most of canon episode of Touhou Galaxy Project. The story is take place in far future were the human civilization of Previous World were wiped out after a nuclear war of Third Global Conflict and the Guardian Character have take place on this world within million of year.

Touhou Galaxy Project is partial a Isekai theme as introduction of God of The Gamalatica and has several element similarly to Isekai (or fantasy) theme such as Medieval theme, a monarch nation, guild quest, magic, fantasy creature, as well as the serial killer: Truck-kun where the character was transport into the different world. Touhou Galaxy Project is different from most of Isekai for 3 reason. First being most of character who die from mortal world were struck in the Limbo knonwn as Gamalaticania Universe that serve as gateway to the afterlife. Second, the modern-day world (or Previous World) and people that thhe main character is origined from was wiped out in a nuclear war which the planet is eventually became Goldia were most of story was take place which mark this as a Post-Apocalyptic instead of Isekai. Third and Final, the people who got transport or reborn to new world must be Japanese people, except that neither Japan or Japanese people were exist in Touhou Galaxy Project beside the fictionalization nation like Neppon or Nepponese people which themselves is not considered to be Japan or Japanese people due to Basic Rule: Section 3 for not allow any fictional content to be similar to related to real world content.

The canon episode of the Galaxy of Peace and Chaos have separated with two story are Main series were known as "A Dream of Aiko" and the sequel "A Dream of Aiko and Rinne" which set in the old timeline of Gamalaticania Universe were Rinne is trap in the world created by her daughter, Rio to save her from suicide which causing Rio to not be born.
Setting in G.C. 44XX, 2000 year after Tomoya's death in previous world to become a god to rule this world until Nill William and his Abomon have freed and start to wage war against her and her world of Gamalatica.

 Episode II: Rinne Somnium

Setting in G.C. 65XX, 2000 year after first episode were Nill William and his Abomon force of Against the Blanec Movement have been destroyed, but their remain is secretly plan to using a tactic that once used by this cyberbullying online group to havoc the Gamalatica.

 Episode III: Memory of Kagami

Setting in G.C. 2020 before first episode in the time of rise and fall of Against the Blanec Movement cyberbullying online grup that put Tomoya's name and novel into a hate speech meme without care on her.

 Episode IV: A Dream of Aiko

Setting in G.C. 65XX, few month after Episode 3. It's final episode to destroy Olso Klafficer  and the Against the Blanec Movement once and for all. There will be one of major character have sacrifice to end to all thing that he did.

Set in G.C. 1918 until G.C. 2017 from rise of Olso Klafficer until the creation of the Against the Blanec Movement in this Rinne's eternal world.

Setting in G.C. 6514 about Teijiki Peon being kidnapped to the Gamindustri, a planet far away from Touhou Galaxy. As Kotori and her friend must come to save her.

Setting in G.C. 6517 about the mass rebellion from across the galaxy. As Kotori must come to defend the galaxy from all threats and only one person who can handle all threat, Tomoya.

Overview
The Touhou Galaxy Project series was always feature a Gamalatican female protagonist in the story since the start of the series. Most of episode have different set of protagonist and main characters. Some character who originally a support character in previous episode may become a protagonist in next episode and vice versa.


Main Protagonist of Touhou Galaxy Project and the ultimate protagonist of the series. She is a 16 year old Guardian Character who knowing to be creator and writer of A Dream of Aiko diary that powered the Gamalaticania Universe. She became the second victim to Nill William's cyberbullying online group known as Against the Blanec Movement. Debut in Rinne Somnium as fourth protagonist after Tomoya Dinogi and newest protagonist to date.

Second Protagonist of Touhou Galaxy Project. She is a 15 year old Guardian Character who is the main source of A Dream of Aiko diary that powered the Gamalaticania Universe. She is the biggest victim of Nill William's cyberbullying online group "Against the Blanec Movement" after Rinne Yoshimizu. Debut in Memory of Kagami as second protagonist after Blanec in Blanec's Lowee Empire.
Third Protagonist of Touhou Galaxy Project. She is a 14 year old Guardian Character who wish to become the god in the world she have created which appear to be Gamalaticania Universe which in-reality, she is a main protagonist based on Rinne's A Dream of Aiko diary. Debut in Birth of Lady Tomoya Dinogi as third protagonist after Kotori Hatsumi.

Supergalatica Neptunia Galaxy of Peace and Chaos or also known as Hyperdimension Neptunia: Touhou Galaxy Project is the work created by TGP Author known in the pen name - Rinne Yoshimizu. The Touhou Galaxy Project have start since May 29 2015 to create a family drama story with science fiction and fantasy setting.
