XJM Project




The eXperiment class-J Mindblowing Project, commonly known as XJM Project or its codename BYFOND is the secret research project of the Interstellar Federation that serve to development one of the most advanced and creative technology for no mistake of Death of Tsukasa Hiiragi.

Following the death of Kagami Hiiragi along with destruction of Burand Diamond complex. The XJM Project was dissolved and replaced by less advanced project known as Lowee Imperial Research and Development.

The eXperiment class-J Mindblowing Project or commonly known as XJM Project, officially known in Gamalaticania Alliance codename as BYFOND (stand for Black Technology Foundation) is the secret research project of the Gamalaticania Alliance that serve to development one of the most advanced and creative technology for the Gamalaticania galaxy. They held classified technology such as BYFOND, DAL and CCM.

 Despite XJM Project have many technology for the Gamalaticania Alliance to compete against opponent. The XJM Project have been questionable for their practice and research that never been reveal to the public especially related to BYFOND top secret classified.

This is the first time the XJM Project has reveal its main black site known as Burand Diamond black site complex which located in the deep ocean in Eta Trench.

After the destruction of Burand Diamond complex and the incident related to one of driving bell in the complex. There is not much information about any survivor of XJM Project employee as they either committed suicide (as case of Tominoru) or hiding from public as Shidori willing to killed anyone involved with XJM Project or Burand Diamond complex, several XJM Project subject that involved in Burand Diamond are either lost or destroyed.

Since XJM Project is contain many classified technology across the galaxy that very unorthodox and dangerous for general purpose. There is known three classified from safety "CCM" (Common Civilian Management) class, "DAL" (RestricteD Access Limit) and highest "BYFOND" (Black TechnologY FOuNDation) class which only access at Burand Diamond. Each subject has subclass were A, C, D and L.

For example, Subject BYFOND-2002A "Slop" is a Advanced Chatbot system under BYFOND classified specific to 2002 class under A subclass which this subject is contain at Burand Diamond. The researcher given this subject's nickname "Slop" due to poor quality of user who using AI generated image and video.

CCM and DAL classified is known in public (although DAL classified is limit from use at public view) while BYFOND classified is very secret. The XJM Project was first introduction in Touhou Galaxy Project since its first episode of Blanec's Lowee Empire release in 2015 as secret research project that develop and test various orthodox technology that opposite to standard function. The XJM name in both Blanec and original Kotori continuity prior Secret XJM PROJECT File was name eXperience of Japanese Mindblowing Project.

The XJM Project is inspired by real life Area 51 that forbidden from public eye, as well as SCP Foundation although their purpose were different but they does collect all anomalies and rare item across the galaxy where they classified their important. Unlike real life Area 51. the XJM Project's main black site never been revealed until 2025 which later known as Burand Diamond complex which located in Eta Trench.

According to TGP Author, the Burand Diamond's appearance was plan to be revealed in Path of the Obstacle episode which plan to release in 2026. She mentioned that Burand Diamond's appearance is taking inspired by the infamous Byford Dolphin with element of Aria's Story and Squid Game due many reference. Because of this, they will play a major role in the series.

XJM Project play a minor role prior Reisen Naka series as nothing more one subject at the time.
